DebateAI collects the following information when you create an account:

• Account data: email address, display name, and country. Phone number if using OTP login.
• Debate data: topics you debate, your arguments (text transcripts), and AI coaching reports.
• Usage data: session timestamps, debate formats used, and performance scores.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide AI debate practice and coaching reports
• To calculate your ELO rating and show leaderboards
• To improve our AI debate opponents and coaching quality
• To send transactional emails (welcome, invite, coaching reports)

3. What We Never Do

• We never sell your personal data to third parties
• We never store webcam video — camera preview is local to your device only
• We never store raw audio — speech is transcribed in real-time and not saved
• We never include your name, email, phone, or date of birth in AI prompts

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers. Indian user data is stored in Mumbai (ap-south-1) to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023.

5. Authentication

We use Auth0 for secure authentication. Your password is never stored by DebateAI — it is managed entirely by Auth0's security infrastructure.

6. Users Under 18

• Users under 13 are blocked from creating accounts
• Users under 18 in India require parental consent (DPDP Act)
• Under-18 users appear anonymously on public leaderboards
• No expression analysis is available for under-18 users

7. Data Export and Deletion

You can export all your data or delete your account at any time from your Profile page. Account deletion is permanent after a 30-day cooling period, in compliance with GDPR and DPDP requirements.
